FUN Times in GW!
I stopped playing GW for about 3 days because of work and school so last weekend, I finally had the time to play and relax. I was playing my R/MO in THK (Thunder Head Keep) lastnite and the weirdest and almost funniest thing happened to me....I received a randon invite while selling some of my crap before I go on a mission so I was like, ok I'll accept. So once I said Hello to everyone, I noticed that the leader who was sending invites to all random lvl 20's was ONLY LVL 1! Alot of peeps would prob go wtf?? Lvl 1 are you f---ing serious?? But, I didn't say anything because I remember that time that I had a lvl 17 MM in THK and no one wanted to bring me inside, so I've decided to stay and help him out. After he finished forming the group he started asking what kind of specialties we have. Then he asked me if I have traps. I said yea, but only 1. I told him that I'm a barrage/interrupt ranger. After that, HE KICKED ME out of the group!!! I was stunned for like 15 seconds! I didn't know if I'm gonna laugh or be upset. I mean, he's f---ing lvl 1 man! How can he be so picky when not a lot of players are willing to help a lvl friggin' 1 in THK!
This kinda thing makes you love GW even more!

if the party consisted of only you two, then he might have just left the party. that or he might not have the intentions to start the mission to begin with, and were just curious to what people's build were. in either case, he was rude. lol
... and of course you could be right, that he was just an arrogant noob who likes to show off to people "hey lookit me, i got ran all the way here without lvling."

level 1 thinking that they know about the game.. priceless!
I notice that with low level peoples (especially in THK, Ring Of Fire and other areas) you get more random invites from them than regular level 20 characters.

Why would level 1 know less about the game than level 20?
The information you learned doesn't reset when you make a new char

true but in this case, this level one is being picky when he finally got a group.
He/she should be happy since most of the time, no one would pick a low level into a group.

Yup yup, he was being more or less stupid, no argument on that.
I still don't get it why people bother running around past-ascending below L20, I've usually made my chars L20 before even reaching Amnoon Oasis by doing the quests and stuff... Guess they don't like running the missions kazillionth time, I still find them fun to do on different profs due to completely different tactics and gameplay.

question is how are you suppose to kill anything only being a lvl 1? you would get killed in one hit.

I'm assuming the person wants to get to Ring of Fire by lvl 1, so he/she wouldn't attack anything, just go and get killed so he/she would'nt gain experience.

That level 1 guy didn't know very much about the Thunderkeep mission, at any rate. Kicking a ranger for taking an interrupt/barrage build rather than traps is totally stupid. I play a ranger, and I have done Thunderkeep mission countless times with my ranger and my 4 other characters (shared account). As ranger I never bothered with traps there (although I use mostly traps now in FOW and UW and SF). Its just not that necessary to beat that mission. Only thing that is necessary is good teamwork and sticking together.
And if the level 1 wasn't going to be contributing to the effort, it doesn't matter either. I've done the mission many times with less than 8 due to lag drops.

I hate THK it's the only mission i struggle with getting group after group of rushing people, with my first character i did that thing 26 times in total due to a W/Mo or R/** getting way too much agro or by making the king follow them.
But i do agree with your point why would you help a level 1 on that mission he should have been grateful you accepted your invite I know I'd have told him where to stick it!

People that think they know alot are always like that. While playing a Monk, I can't afford to lose a single skill to get Ressurection Signet in my build, and that's not strange at all. Though, if I don't ressurected someone being dead they simply leave just because of the fact I didn't bring Ressurection Signet, but most of the times, those people are far from great players themselfs.

I have a silly question.. if you can't get into the Academy until level 3, how can you get a level 1 to Thunderhead?
Or is it that you *can* enter the Academy at any level, but just aren't told to (by Tydis?) until level 3?
Anywhoos, unless this is his hundredth character, he's missing out on all the fun of the game. But, different peoples play for different reasons.

As far as I recall it doesn't have anything to do with what level you are - you simply have to get a second profession to be able to enter the academy (though you may need to talk to the guy that gives the second profession quest).
